Why Mrs. LookingGood?
My last name is almost similar to looking good that’s why I decided to use it. Please don’t think I picked it because I fancy myself gorgeous! Oh how I wish!
What I do want is for all of us to look good, inside and out! My inner motivation is to celebrate my life as a daughter, wife, mom and friend to the fullest. And that translates to how I interact with people and how I dress myself too! I do not think it shallow if I want to look presentable and put together. And if you notice, my kind of style and fashion is on the thrift side. So you’ll get a dose of thrift scores and hauls from my favorite Sacramento thrift stores and consignment shops in my blog.
Ergo, I am Mrs. LookingGood. And so are you.
I encourage you to be one! Please sign-up if you are a Miss LookingGood or a Mrs at our blog directory here and be part of a community of beautiful women with huge hearts and fashionable style.
More About Karen
I’m a first time mom who had my baby a bit later in life. Over 40 and suddenly found myself balancing a diaper bag and a laptop.
I’ve retired my high heels and suits. My former life as a sales and marketing exec in the IT industry, a thing of the past. Yet I still find myself still occasionally yearning for some semblance of style and chic fashion amidst the diapers and baby toys.
Now I’m a work-at-home mom running marketing services agency, I can somehow find an outlet for my undying passion! Each day I commit to come to work looking good. Even if work is beside my baby’s jumperoo!
I started taking outfit photos when I learned I was pregnant. I wanted to document my growing baby bump as well as put on maternity clothes! I know I’m not the only one out there going through the same things, experiencing the same joys and challenges.
Also my fashion choices (and budget) have changed but it doesn’t give me an excuse to be shabby and sloppy! Since becoming budget-conscious, most of what I wear are thrifted, consigned or purchased at a great deal. I want to be a mom who looks good without breaking the bank.
I know we can all look fantastic as a frugal fashionista! I hope to inspire others (moms and single women) to think that life is too short to wear jogging pants and sneakers every day! Unleash. The. Bling!
